The European Football championship of 2008 will be held in Austria and Switzerland, the two host nations of the game. The tournament will start on the 7th of June until the 29th of 2008. It is said to be the second successful joint bidding next to the Euro 2000 which first gained the title. The next tournament will be on 2012 which will be hosted by Poland and Ukraine.
Austria and Switzerland, since they are the host, they will get the benefit of automatically qualified for the tournament. 16 teams all from Europe are participating these years Euro 2008. Since 2 teams are already considered qualified the 14 teams struggled to fight for the spot in the championship which started on August of 2006.

Euro 2008 will be welcoming their new country bidders: Austria and Poland—since it is their first appearance in the tournament. All European are excited to win the competition because it will be the team that will embody in behalf of UEFA in the upcoming FIFA Confederations Cup in 2009.
